The sizes if the
Modulo™> cast stones have been specially designed to make the
application process easy. Therefore, there should only be
limited amount of cutting necessary to achieve a professional
and authentic finish. The cutting of the Modulo™> interior cast
stones is very easily done with a straight-back handsaw.
The cutting of the
stones is only necessary for wall ends. It is recommended to
break full stones for other small areas as described above.
 Use the recommended
grout from the table included in this brochure to grout the stones.
The cast stones should be grouted 24 hours after the initial
application. Prepare the grout as indicated on the grout bucket.
Fill the grout bag provided with the grout and cut the tip of
the back off. Squeeze the grout bag and fill the spaces between
the stones keeping the tip of the bag in contact with the wall
(STEP 3).
As
soon as the grout begins to harden (+- 1 hour) push the grout
into the grooves using the narrow bladed tool provided (STEP
4).
 Once this step has
been completed use a tool to rake the grout joints. Thereafter,
brush the grout joints with a soft bristled brush (do not use a
wire brush) in a circular
movement (STEP 5). |
Install corners and architectural trims first. Apply
the rest of the stones from top to
bottom to avoid staining the others stones. Scratch the
back of each stone with a hard bristled brush. Coat the
back of the stones using Modulo™>Colle (adhesive) with the
spatula provided (STEP 1).
Apply
the stone on the wall by gently pressing and rocking the stone back and forth (STEP 2) Apply all the
stones to the wall in this manner and use any broken
stone pieces or break full stones with a hammer to
create smaller pieces to cover small spaces on the wall.
